Victim Poem by chapman winston

Victim

Doing away with societies norm
childish as i was, on the grounds of negligence
i found myself on the street, to clinch my own survival
trying very hard to calm the sea's storm
only to realize i played the heat tone
to get hold of the B.E.C.E form
i walked around with mysteries born

Never try to disobey, only to claim my rights
but here i am today with deeds of yesterday
in this unprotected street where life is dystopia
making me prone to the vices of society
i thought i could cope but i had no hope
whiles others had excess to store i had none
not to think of surplus

the street toil i wear
to make life a better one tomorrow
not like theirs, but ok
i thought i had myself to blame
but the natives are also part of the game
the times they were needed most, they never came
spending their wealth on fame
because of this i have remained the same
After the natives tame
i have no one to question
but society and it's influence are the best to answer

i have no place to stay
for the street is my home
And bear the name street child
