Violence-Free Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Violence-Free

What a dream to make non-violence
As an international issue-
Ripe time of childhood learning
A mellifluous melody-
Going wild without any intention
Stage is set, for art and literature
Bringing alive the legacy of cures.

Planning up and above, a lot for
For no reason, not to celebrate
Minding not the one's pocket-
Lot many innocent tiny-toddlers
Portraying pictures dirty and cute
Many more playing unwanted roles
At a stage, need true friends in deed.

Amongst sinister forces at work-
Dialogue is in the space amid words
Scene is in the silence-
Vibrating, between the characters
Not in all the noise make using words
But, losing the faith, in their characters.

What a dream to make non-violence
As an international issue-
Either, live together as brothers and sisters
Or, expire altogether as big fools-
Stop hereafter bloodshed raising your voice
Helping, the world to make it violence-free.
