Visita Poem by Niyi Mark

Visita

Again, all night, I did wait,
Night lost it's darkness,
Sky hosted a great party
Well attended by uncountable stars
The moon beamed with broad smiles
There was euphoria even in the air
The breeze was symbolic
For there was no need to await sunrise
To tell you this moment,
It's a new dawn
Your day
A fresh start
A leap for joy.

Just as the colors of the sunrise,
fades away the hues and dews of the morning mist
So our dark clouds are melted away...
The sun light ushers in warmth
Adding splendour and grace to our new dawn
A new dawn
Not just of a day
But of another phase of life
Dawn of the day that declares
the beginning of greater heights
and achievements

The day,
Peacefully idyllic
It heralded the ambiance
Of today's celebrant
Her Royal Cuteness of Africa
The future is is bright and loaded
The destiny must not be truncated
Greatness must be attained

This springboard shall neither break
Nor cease to spring

Congratulations on your graduation
