Voices Poem by Vester Crowley Ix

Voices

He comes in dreams
Talks and calms my mute screams
Yet he says those words that reach
Those always made the virtues preach
Why? I demand of the creator of us all
Why to my sins I would fall?
Was I fated to be a sinner or holy?
I am alive just to serve solely
They never understand what pain I bear
To them my hate I swear
I shan't back down even if I will die
For relief comes whenever I free a lie
Before me stands a path so long
But I hope it will shorten with a song
Help me I used to say
I hoped someone would see me one day
And pulls me from that abyss
Takes me away from the devil's hiss
To feel safe, feel loved
Just for my every problem to be solved
