Voices Of A Generation Poem by Laquory Jones

Voices Of A Generation

Verse: 1
Inside my mind you are destined to find veins entangled lines that
Intertwines called my breathing lines of Life leaking fluids as the
Blood flows through both of my hemispheres while cementing my
Poems Gov't Officials are breeding fear creating weeping tears hoping that
None of us becomes revered each day that passes it becomes
Crystal clear as chandeliers people are becoming Cavaliers when
Watching the news and witnessing much abuse no one catches clues
Just trying to stay up on my P's and Q's people became blindsided
By the news left dazzled and confused as buffoons by the tubes

Chorus
Become the Voices of a generation
Voice your opinions and show your dedication
Embrace the world and help lead the nation
As we seek for change sparking up an revolution
No more hate and No more contusions

Verse: 2
Knowledge floweth as a river slithering up the spinal as the cord begins
To quiver words creating spirals of intelligence as the innocent are
Catapulted into a world of negligence setting the world into a
State of emergency this subject is delicate releasing verbs and their
Predicates people utilizing the libraries as the Gov't operation
Brain-Wash and Repeat continues to commence it's "Fahrenheit 451"
Fire and Fury ordered through the arsonist's gun by burning all the books
At once Erasing the past through manipulation has now begun with the past
Not to be undone they say everyday is a sacrifice and that life is a game
Of dice as it carries an hefty price like veins carrying blistering ice
This world is cutthroat with the sharpest of knives but I know one day
We'll make it right by speaking truth and no more people dying

Chorus
Become the Voices of a generation
Voice your opinions and show your dedication
Embrace the world and help lead the nation
As we seek for change sparking up an revolution
No more hate and No more contusions
