Wait Poem by Raimi Babatunde

Wait

Will you loose interest afterwards?
Making breakup imminent
Will you loose your peace?
And regret it afterwards?
Maybe its better you wait

The one you did in secret
Was presented at the parliament on Monday
Extra-yed on Tuesday
Diagnosed on Wednesday
And published on Thursday
Now we all know, if only you waited

He can turn your mess to a message
Your shame can be converted to fame
Who knows, this might be for your lifting
But there is a price to pay

Since it saps you of your energy
Exposes you to STI's and the Baba of all
Since it robs you of your dignity
And degrades you of your honour
Wait, till you meet "The One"

I too have been there, you aren't alone
Let he who is a saint cast the first stones
His grace made the journey great
That's why I am not in the grave
Dug by the pleasures of immoralities
So, before you judge, make sure you are perfect
So, wait...
