Waiting Poem by andrea Medge

Waiting

I’m waiting for you to come back
I’m waiting for you to realize it was a mistake
For you to take back the words you inflicted on me
Or more likely the words you didn’t inflict on me
I’m waiting for you to realize you cant live without me
My selfish insides want your silver lining to fade
And the wind and clouds to pull you back to me
I want to drag you down with me
I’m waiting for you to plummet back down to my level
So we can at least have each other
Or so I can at least have you
I’m still waiting for you
Waiting for you to come back to me.
