Waiting
I wait for love
But I never find it
I wait for acceptance
But I’m only rejected
I wait for sunshine
But I only get rain
I wait for a prince
But I find a joker
I wait for a hero, My hero
But I’m killed before I’m rescued
I wait for you,
But your never there
Yet I still wait for love
And wonder if I’ll ever find it
Somewhere, Someday.
I like the way your poem is quite straight forward, its the best way to communicate that raw feeling - i found your hero analogy striking, good write :)
