Waiting Poem by Ro'in Mao

Waiting

Rating: 3.0

Waiting… waiting…
People passing…
Odours wafting...
Fading… fading…
Footsteps drumming…
Klaxons blaring…
Noises garbling…
Intermingling…
Sight collapsing…
Head pulsating…
Heart unsettling…
Palpitating…
Time is trickling…
Ticking… ticking…
Creeping... closing...
Coming… nearing…
Waiting… waiting…
Waiting…waiting…

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The ever present hand of time is felt on all things, great use of the format, it feels like what a heart attack would be like, the pounding of mortality is knocking fast. Great work!
