Waiting Poem by Michael L.

Waiting

the music in my mind
the echoes of my writhing tides
that know not time nor light
nor dark nor rhyme, just the divine
the melody of heavenly stars at night
the clear blue sky, the inflamed clouds at sundown, aye
i hear the silent song alright
so i know alls right with my soul
though im not whole and no
it doesnt always feel ok
but im insane
im alive so i expect pain
i expect flame and rain
ne'er will i brook chains to keep me from change
the lanes i walk are often dark
my heart-roads often scarred and marred
with burn marks from being so near the stars
but my deepest, truest 'I'
is long concealed and it hides
timid, waiting inside
a latent flame within my eyes
