Waiting For An Angel Poem by Tosin Abegunde

Waiting For An Angel

Waiting For An Angel

Time to rejuvenate the dead hope,
Period of pacific rain to drain fear,
Season of consciousness for scope,
Era for the king to wipe away tear,
The hegemony of tranquility,
That sets template for navigation,
When ability's stability kills futility
All for building a total nation:

Microcosm of the asset that failed,
A deafening call relegated to mute
A child of necessity yet neglected,
As determined by men with flute.

This tradition, he will surely revisit
And its nomenclature will ever sit!
