Waiting For Death Poem by Nick Hewitt

Waiting For Death

Rating: 5.0

Down a dark path i walk
Shrouded with fear
With lips sealed i talk
Can anyone hear
They know not of my pain
Or from where i come
They no not of my shame
They all no none
I fall more as each day goes on
I pray for a savior but all are long gone
I fall hopeing someone will take away this sorrow
I wait and wait still ther is no tomorrow
And as i fall to the point of no return
I go deep evermore, and let my soul burn

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Was thinking of a villain at the time who was so corrupted that he couldn't return to the path of righteousness.
