Waiting For Our Turn Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Waiting For Our Turn

The flag of Ghana and the wisdom of my home,
With self-exaltation to bring you closer to my lover;
And like the fundamental questions of love,
But try to raise the flag so high.

We shall overcome some day in life,
For we are all victims of our own success!
And of Mount Zion to rest my mind,
Oh come back home to save your people.

I met the big white sheep with its developed horns,
And like 'Chitty-chitty Bang-bang'!
But what goes around must surely come around;
And we are still waiting for our turn in this life.

Sexis beautiful and it comes with love,
But debt is the reality of life! !
And death is not the option;
But with the 'virginity test certificates' to clear my mind,
For we are still waiting for our turn.

The fundamentals of a new world to crown the soul,
And in nudeness we stood to wait for our turn!
Hurray! ! ! The Flag of Ghana!
We shall overcome some day in this life.
