Waiting On You Poem by Gloraly Gomez

Waiting On You

First light, eyes open.
I wait for you to wake up.
Past noon, feeling bored.
I wait for you to get home from work.
Sun sets, dinner's cold.
I wait for you to finish smoking.
Night comes, in bed alone.
I wait for you to join me.

Dawn again and I'm still waiting...
