I long to hold you in my arms
And claim you for my own
But a soul as free as yours
Ought to be left to roam
Until it’s time to settle down
And find your way back home

Where I’ll be waiting
Arms spread wide
Where I’ll be waiting
To take you inside

The sands of time are dropping
An hourglass a day
As I peer out along the line
I hope to find my way
Though should I see a lonely grain
All the glasses I will break

Cause I’m not waiting
To be gone

For a sunless dawn

Out across the starry sky
The moon holds its head high
I see its face reflect my own
As the tears come to my eyes
I know you see the same night lights
