Waiting Until You Get Out Poem by RENATA GERS

Waiting Until You Get Out

I should finish my coffee, release the dog leash
Though the dawn hurts as coming back migraine,
I am waiting until you get out from my dream and I wake up
With the emptiness in my mind.

I recall last summer, you plucked the sunflowers
full of the bee's libretto, you paid tribute
to the Mother Earth as if you already knew
you belong to Her.

Wait, I come back soon - I am saying to the empty bed,
The body demands the morning rituals, I rush the rain drops,
waiting for the rainbow, you always watched it
behind the humid clouds.
