Waking Lost Poem by Ronald Chapman

Waking Lost

Waking Lost

Lost in this place,
Born into the wrong time; a time I don't belong,
Always looking to the past,

Dreaming the same dream,
Holding you close,
Walking a golden path,

Snowing cherry blossoms,
On a warm spring day,
Rainbows shining brightly across an eastern sky,

Every night,
Stars remind me of you,
My only love,

The impossible love we once had,
The lover,
I would never forget,

You still hold my heart,
I left with you,
A thousand years past,

Waking lost without you,
Without dreams; I don't belong here, in this place.
No matter what I do, or where I go,

Looking and looking every day,
Can't find you; find the one dream I miss,
I wish would come true,

Where are you, my beautiful desire?
