Walk Away Poem by Antoinette Rose Maria Rogers

Walk Away

Rating: 5.0

Waking up in the morning
I'm shaking and terrified,
scared that the one I,
~love~
and cherish, will hurt me
attacking like a hungry lion
hunting for a prey,
When I gaze into his eyes,
they are as hard as a rock,
blue like a block of,
~ice~
an ice so cold,
you could dropp dead
if you touch it,
him,
or gaze to hard into the
eyes,
that were once,
two stars, round and bold,
So pure I could see his soul,
bare untouched and still whole,
But in a blink of an eye,
~love~
turned to
~hatred~
and becomes captain.
Cursing, shouting, rampaging and
violence,
are now born
he raised his hand to me,
against me,
for the last time on this earth.
So I raised a knife,
to him, against him,
for the first.
I finally won, victory,
and freedom,
at last.
But as the blood poured out of,
the heart,
the devil,
that ~hatred~ immediately
turned to ~ruefullness~
then back to ~love~

Suddenly I wake up,
out of a,
~dream~
that is really,
~reality~
Once again I'm,
scared and terrifed,
of the one I ~think~
I ~love~
and the one I ~think ~
I ~hate~
What will I do?
Should I stay or
should I just
walk away...
forever.
