Walk Away Poem by Omar Adame

i feel relived to walk away...walk away
from all the gray.

i feel unstoppable, my heart and my spirit are set free,
when i step out in the open doors i find the person that is me.

everytime i take a stroll,
i regain myself and my soul.

i remember once again, the person that i am.
no longer a child, but now a man.

as my two feet walk along and forward,
its the sign of hope i move toward.

so i feel relieved to walk away...walk away
from all that is gray.
