Walking In Gandhi Footsteps Poem by Terence George Craddock

Walking In Gandhi Footsteps

Rating: 5.0

want peace
attainment
is simple

outlaw wars
stop exploitation
greed corruption

stop voting voting
in stupid politicians
is also a trump card

desk is split
deal slight of hand
dirty cheat dealt

time we citizens made
humane compassion rules
for all foreign domestic people

politicians have enlisted armies
corrupt police enforcing rules
heal war wounds walk with divinity

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Valsa George 25 December 2015

War has to be avoided and peace has to be restored! Greed for power and pelf, corruption, intolerance etc are the root cause of all evil that lead to war. Peace is the Mantra, Mahatma prescribed for the world through Non Violence, 'Satyagraha' and Passive resistance! Glad that Gandhiji's message to the world has found a resonance in your poem!
