I walk in the light of the night,
Convinced I saw everything.
Reaching the nighttime forest,
It suddenly dawned on me,
That the place of most darkness,
Was what the world gave to me.
The darkness of the forest terrified me.
This forest no longer looked beautiful.
Now emerged a light in this night,
From this forest is what I thought,
But the light shown too close to me,
That even when I stepped back to find,
Wouldn't show itself to me,
But it was there, there all along.
Now I sat on the forest floor,
With crossed legs and eyes closed,
This light in the forest was me.
Now the darkness of this forest didn't matter.
