Walking With An Angel Poem by brian naugher

Walking With An Angel

Rating: 4.5

Walking along the promenade, the wind blew across the sea.
I was sheltered from it's coldness by the angel accompanying me.

Smiling as we walked along kicking at the golden sand, laughing like two kids at play, holding each other's hand.

I felt the warmth of her sweet breath as she stopped and held my gaze, her eye's shining ever so bright, enhancing her beautiful face.

We walked for what must have been an age, reflecting on the past, the things we done, what we should of had, a life together, meant to last.

For a moment I felt some sadness as we both dwelled on that thought.

A nice romantic poem, well articulated and nicely penned. A lovely piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
