Wandering Through Life, Taking Each Day As It Comes Poem by Selina Gurgacz

Wandering Through Life, Taking Each Day As It Comes

Wandering through life,
Taking each day as it comes.
There are good days,
And there are bad days,
Where things never seem to be right.

Many do stumble,
Many do fall,
There are some who fly,
There are some who die.

Life’s journey is different for everyone,
Some seek out to achieve their goals,
Others just don’t care enough,
And land up living off the dole.

Wandering through life,
Taking each day as it comes.
We think our lives will be perfect,
And we take many things for granted.

We complain about our food,
Yet there are people who are starving.
We complain about the cold,
Yet there are people who are freezing.

We complain about the health care system,
Yet there are people out there who don’t have one at all,
And many premature babies die shortly after birth.
We complain that out teachers are not that good,
Yet there are people out there who don’t have one at all.

We complain about this,
We complain about that,
We take things for granted,
And help only ourselves.

There are people who suffer,
And struggle to survive,
Yet we don’t hear them complaining,
They just want to stay alive.

We’re all just wandering through life,
Taking each day as it comes.
