Wanting To Rejoice Poem by Euripides Westfall

Wanting To Rejoice

Caught on lost illusion's lust
to hold her close is a must
I just fall and send a sigh
maybe my goals are just too high
but my goals are all I have in life
for I see no reason at all to strife
keep to them, the only way
I'll ever know just what to say
It joys me just to hear her voice
love it so, my only choice
Every day my mind thinks through
wondering what is true
Then I think, just what is truth?
deep inside we're all a sleuth
I've forgotten everything
since I let my heart first sing
Not quite sure if good or bad
but with her I'm just not sad
If that's not love, I know it not
but it's all I've ever sought
Think of her, my only choice
'til once again we may rejoice
My life it seems, a canvas sheet
I'll dream of you 'til we remeet
