War



You join the Reserves, not expecting a fight
Next thing you know, you’re on the first flight
They tell you it will be a quick tour
But they don’t seem to mention the blood and the gore
They make it seem as if war grants you glory
But they fail to mention the entire story
The hardships you face come in the dozens
From the lack of food to the loss of your cousins
It seems as though the truth is now out
War is not all fun and games, I haven’t a doubt
