Was It You Poem by david stansfield

Was It You

Was it you that I saw
stepping out on the floor
Was it you dancing close to him
Were you angry or lonely
Or restless or bored
Did you hang on to his every word
Or was it waves crashing and no more
Was it you that once said
I was easily led
Or was it you who led me astray
Were you hung up or strung out
Was love wearing thin
Did you lose hope before we could begin
Was it you that I saw with him
Were you once my guiding light
Or did you betray with a kiss
Did you savour that swett taste of sin
Was it you
Was it you that I saw with him.
