Washed Away Poem by Jacob Bjork

Washed Away

I've been counting my days
Thinking a lot about how I wish,
I wish you‘d stayed because I’m still here
Left standing in this permanent rain alone

You we're all I ever wanted
And now a ghost, it haunts me
Creeps through my dreams
Singing to me all of the things
I wish I had said to you
I don’t want to believe it but it’s all true
I’m lost without you

I still think about the days
When you we're the biggest wave
In my ocean blue
Crashing into shore, you've dug into my core

When you floated past my horizon
Half of my chest and what was within
Washed away in your boat
I'm so tired of giving it away

Because I don't know what to do
When I see you happy without me in your life
I tried and tried but you gave me,
Your final goodbye

One day I’ll be free from this anchor at my feet
But for now I'll remember the sea
And your beautiful face smiling back at me

My darling, Chelsie
