Wasted Poem by Ann McKinley

Wasted

Rating: 5.0

So much wasted time
so much wasted space
so many wasted words
so many wasted breaths

so many wasted moments
so many wasted days
so many wasted years
all for the love of just being wasted

so many wasted thoughts
so many wasted actions

I will not waste any more time being petty
I will not waste any more time with those who choose to devalue me
my loyalty, my love, my time.
I will not waste my self for the satisfaction of others

I will fight.
I will fight for myself and mine.
I will not waste my breath on you
I will not waste any more minutes
I will not waste any more tears
I will not.

I will fight for me.
I will do what I please.
I am a human being.
and I deserve to be treated with dignity and respect
I will not waste on people who think any less than that.
This is me.
And I value myself more then I ever have.

We do waste so much as we waste away in the world. A thought occurred just now, is the waste a product of advancement? I like a poem that makes me question my perception thank you!
