Wasting Away Poem by Michelle Dickson

Wasting Away

What some don’t know
Is that some don’t care to see
That they are not truly
Looking at me.

They see my mask
And they thinks its my real face
What they don’t know
Is what is lying in wait.

Watch out those around me
For as soon as my mask breaks
My world will begin to die
And be nothing but waste.
