Watch Battery Replaced Poem by Raj Arumugam

Watch Battery Replaced

The sign at the kiosk
at my local mall said:
'WATCH
BATTERY REPLACED
2-Year Guarantee'

So I stood by
watching the watch guy
replacing batteries
and then he looked at me with his sharp eye
and he said:
'What you looking at? '

'Oh, ' said I
'as invited,
I'm watching
you replace batteries
But though you perform for two years
I can't guarantee I'll hang around for even one'
