Its slow when you wait,
And fast when you are late
Run, Run, no time to walk
Tick-tock goes the clock.
I try to follow time very hard
Though it gives my mind a bomb blast
Elders ever say-'Time one gone never returns,
It may leave you in twists and turns! '
'Wait, wait', I want to tell the clock
As though it would really stop
Now there's nothing left to say:
For I have to rush to the bus bay!
An insightful depiction of the essence of Time - the greatest of all resources. Time waits for no one and once lost could never be regained. A well articulated piece of poetry, nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Bhavya. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
