Watching Time Poem by Christian Hudak

Watching Time

Time runs
Always forward, onward
Well developed
Time never trips, never stumbles
Quick paced, running from this moment
Increasing now, is the space between us
Like, the ground from a plane
When you decide to take flight
I’m left here, waving goodbye
Watching time, watching the clock
Watching the rear view mirror
Always hoping you are closer than you appear
Taking notice how the space between us grows
Because - I’ve been to long, watching time.
