Watching You Die... Poem by Daniel Adams

Watching You Die...

Rating: 4.8

I walked in and I called your name,
I knew the score; we both knew the game.
I poured you some rum, it was one of your ways.
Small token to comfort you in your final days.

Barely concious, staring blnk eyes,
I'll hang here a while to say my goodbyes.
Even when you're flying in skies above,
Your memory'll live on, remembered with love.

I looked at your face, so deathly pale,
I saw your pain as your organs did fail.
My throat went tight, I started to cry,
Tears falling silently as I watched you die.
