Water has memory,
its waves emotion,
its motion rhythmic
and powerful,

more powerful
than volcanic eruptions
that cover the earth
with molten lava

and burn the trees,
the land
cooling to form
hard, solid rock.

Water, that liquid mass
will put out the fire,
bring life
or destroy it,

like a God,
though not shy
to show
its face.

Nice poem Ruth. I once read that water is the only liquid that freezes from the top down - all others do the opposite. Interesting innit?

We wouldn't and couldn't exist without water - well written poem Ruth.

Awash with clarity and clarity of crystal clear water that quenches, extinguishes and sustains life and is unique in its 3 states and is surely god like in its connections to life and death. Nice write.

It's waves emotion... It makes water seem sensitive and unfairly troubled, such a thoughtful line. Imo at least.
I don't understand any deeper meaning (if there's one) but I'll take away from it that cool beats steamin'. Always. Explains Miles Davis' career...
