Let me call you a situation
You came in to tell me
Things happen oh dear
As you were unbuttoning your coat
And taking off your boots
As we sat face to face
Tv screens turned off and on
In a dizzy roomful presence
Amidst the white noise of your closing eyes
Let me call you a situation
You came in to tell me
The subjects escaped your vision
In a politically incorrect manner
Via blasphemy and election pamphlets
Torn off the street posts
As we sat face to face
Tv screens alarms beeped the choices
Of ready made designs
Let me call you a situation
And cast you broad
The way you bargain pain
On the watchability scale
No, I cannot sit and forget
Even though there are some things
I do not remember you know
As we sat face to face
What were we drinking
While the streets were falling apart
Was it water or wine

Another incredible poem. Amidst the white noise of your closing eyes...one of those lines you look at and say Wow I wish I wrote that!
