Water Washed Ways Poem by Andy Brookes

Water Washed Ways

Yellow rind moon hovers, balancing on the crack of rosy dawn
grey filters to green, red, purple, wind licked
horizon clouds rise, dark menacing travellers, chasing Venetian blindstrips of azure..

cascades of time, minute, which are measured by millenniums
a tear blinks in Gods eyes at beauty lost.

vapour mists the glass of time.

man's a falling leaf, a one season wonder.
for all his crafty wiles, his deft maker hands,
greed ransoming the earth, thugs demanding money with menaces.
our destroyer brains will launch us into oblivion
to become just one more washed away footprint in the universe.
