Waterfall Hill Poem by Sophy Iminzah

Waterfall Hill

Atop a cliff of black rock
in the valley we sit and stare
My head spins like smoke
'cause it is kind of a scare
As long as you are here,
listening to the waterfall
Your heart I can clearly hear
calling me in the midst of it all
short of breath I will not fall, for
your hand's warm hold is strong
Your eyes capture my core
I sing a sweet silent love song
It is a struggle not to kiss you
So, to the cloud I raise my eyes
Its lining a bright white hue
Its shadow cool on the hill's rise
We walk back the slope's path
Peace moves in and fills me
Arm in arm we turn to view earth
Deep in eternal beauty- same as we
