As the rain
Pours down
I see the water
Flowing swiftly
Mixing with the soil;
With color brown
A beauty of strange kind
Appears gradually
To leave the footprint
Of the flowing water
On the muddy surface.
The rain water
Leaves wondrous signatures
Along its travel
On this earth;
Reminding man
That they too
Shall leave their signatures
Firmly
For humanity
To trail their path
As they piggy back
Their hope
And strength.
