WE ALL ARE EQUAL
Throughout the ages fools have been
Hate has plagued man’s heart
Will love unite Salvation’s queen?
Will foolish pride depart?
However wise we think to be
What heritage or school
We need to live with eyes that see
Or die a blinded fool
Equality, must seek the bride
Whatever shade man’s skin
Accepting all who’ll come inside
Regardless of their sin
Salvation’s grace can not be bought
Life’s crown, can no one buy
Silver and gold account to nought
Upon the road on high
Tomorrow’s breath is no one sure
The fit could lie as dead
Yesterday’s rich could wake up poor
Could end up begging bread
There’s none too young there’s none too old
No one too sick or lame
All are welcome within the fold
Whom Christ would cleanse of shame
Let each their mind examine true
Take score of heart and soul
Has all our flesh been born anew?
And through God’s love made whole?
Or must more; changes still be made?
Must Christ improve us more?
Has self desire yet to fade?
This side of Judgement’s door
