We All Die Poem by Peter Omoko

We All Die

I adorn my pen
Not to desecrate the land
But to unite the longitudes of our being
To make soldiers comrade
And deconstruct sinnic orders of beasts

Brothers though distant
Fall day by day
In blood
In agony
In anguished border of insurgence
As vermin diplomats distort
Our ways in undulating rituals of politics
To launder our being through the compass
Of frozen laughters

Here,
In Libya, Egypt and Senegal
We all die

In Syria, Georgia and Gaza
We all die

In Nigeria, Sudan and Ivory-coast
We all die

And kings, their kings
Inherit medals of peace

Where are the mapmakers?
Who divide our veins and arteries?
Who concoct the latitudes of our colours
And imposed on us the futility of boundaries?

Where are the conjurers of religion?
Who boko-haram* us to death?
Who al Qaeda* us with bombs
And CAN* us with private jets?

I only adorn my pen
Not to desecrate the land
But to unite the longitudes of our being
To make soldiers comrade
And deconstruct sinnic orders of beasts
