We Are No Buddhas! Poem by Tenzin Norzom

We Are No Buddhas!

Rating: 5.0

Let's fight flesh to flesh and bones to bones...
Trying to understand is wearing me off
My grand-parents, my parents
Uncles and aunties were tortured,
physically and mentally alike
How can you treat people
in such a way?
You drag her down the road,
you spit on him and you lash the frail
Where is your dignity?
Violence must be in your nerves,
But, Respect can be learnt
and can be taught to your children
when you go home.
When you don't know respecting others,
Don't expect to get it back
How big you are! How rich you are!
Doesn't take me aback no more
you belittle others,
Your turn is around the corner.
Let's fight flesh to flesh,
bones to bones.
You will not survive.
Remember, we are human beings,
Wise enough to find solutions,
you think it's worthless.
Cause, you are so greedy
Now, it's time to act,
than to think for two.
We are no buddhas!
You are us and we are you!
Is just a philosophy.
