we are the adults of the furture
demanding respect instead of tourture
we are the kids who will rule one day
and all you have to say is its okay
Julie was a girl who could close her eyes and pretend nothing was real
she loved so many even when it seemed like she had forgotten how to feel
well one day julie was pushed around too much
she hurt inside and out; to the sight; to the touch
and so she took pills and closed her eyes
sick and tired of so many lies
We'll never know what she could have been
we only know she was sick of being a teen
Rebecca was a girl who had it all
but one day she had to fall
her mom hit her too hard one day
and the pain just wouldnt go away
So rebecca jumped off the bridge and landed in the water with a deafening splash
Her pain could never been extinguished by the things bought by cash
Sasha was a girl with lying eyes
there were plauged with millions of lies
and one day when they laughed at her a little too hard
she played her dying card
Sasha layed down in the school hall-way saying good bye
All these girls just wanting to die
and we are like them; we take the pills too
we are like them; we hate what you make us do
and we are the ones who will put ourselves to sleep one day
cuz dying is the only peace we get out of today.
with every heart beat comes the pain
with every tear comes red rain
with every smile comes a frown
with every high there is a down
with every footstep there is a fight
with every scream we're crying for light
