We Are Worryors Poem by Famoroti Odunayo Israel

We Are Worryors

Look!
At the states and our state
We are here and there
The president presides on play-cards
While denizens guzzle freely 5
Preoccupation of gossips on National Dailies

Look!
The rep-birds feed on mazes
With seat allowances in syllogisms
Colloqually horsing our views on conferences 10
Nay, the daily manners gaga
Through discourses of frailties
Drinking on gobblets of our mindset

Look!
Our rich neighbours and friendly foes 15
Less with no oil on a plateful yam
Yet get scholarship through night passage

Our foes friend less with sitting bills
Seting still baquets streaming in our custom's purse

Look! 20
It's time the green-fields to lend
A helping hand
Our tongues are dry dreaming
No more terrorism sleeping idly
On the crazy pendulum of our mindset 25

Com-patriots!
Let's make a round-table
No threat but treat
Wounds wounding-up our coasts
Folding-up rich rugs on our green grass 30
Mow-mowing night travels of unfaithful oils
Through shell-like monsters and carriers

Com-patriots!
They are your nobles
Relatives and no mercy to curb: 35
Halt this menace laughing us
We are worriors not worryors
