good for you
he said you had such a
perfect dad
whom you remember today
with all nostalgia
but i have to be honest
with you
we never had one.

just the same i wish
you a
happy father's day
and may you yourself be
a good father
to your kids.

good for you
you have kids of your own
while we do not have
any.

thanks anyway for
wishing me a
happy father's day.

somehow we must go on
with what we have
and not wish for someone
who is not here
with us

we breathe and so we
must live.
