We Hide To Be Found Poem by Julia Aurandt

We Hide To Be Found

Rating: 5.0

I thought I was hidden.

I covered myself with heavy blankets, slammed the door shut, and hid the key so well even I couldn't find it.

But my thoughts weren't hidden.

They crawled under the heavy blanket, slipped through the tiniest cracks in the door, and showed me where the key was.

I thought of you as I dug under the heavy blankets.

I thought of you as I opened the groaning door.

My not so hidden thoughts led me right to you.

You gently took the key from me, and forcefully locked the door to my cracked heart.

You tucked me in softly with overwhelming thoughts.

You loved me so hard I could not love anyone else.

But I thought I was hidden.

Beautiful train of thoughts, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and penned from inner recesses of the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
