I wish that we had met
Back when we both were young
What a beautiful song
We both could have sung

The love we share right now
Could have started years ago
BUt I know back then
There was much we didn't know

We had no idea
The commitment that love takes
Loving way back then
Would have been a great mistake

There was need to rush it
For we both knew at some time
We would be together
Then, love would be your's and mine

So, maybe it was wise
For both of us to wait
Loving at any age
Can never come to late

Here we are years later
In each others heart
I guess there's no wrong time
For love to have a start

We may not have a lot of years
Together you and I
But I'm glad we got the chance
To at least give love a try
