We live near the airport
Near enough to watch arrivals and departures
We like to watch the airplanes take off and land
But don't in any way associate it with our own desires
We live near the airport
But rarely need to use the airport
We would like to run away and have an adventure
But have never dared think of that as something that could actually happen
I'm sure that many don't own passports
Can count the number of US states they have visited on one hand
Have proclaimed the superiority of their way of life
Have worried about falling off the edge of a flat planet
The airplanes taking off and landing rattle the roof of the house
The roar of the engines make us feel panicked at the proximity for potential disaster
Our proximity to transportation to a foreign country doesn't concern us as much
