David Harris (18 June 1945 / Bradfield, England)
We Make A Life
We make a life by what we give
never thinking of what we may receive.
We make a life by helping others
never thinking of the help we might receive in times of need.
We make a life by looking forwards
never dwelling on the mistakes of the past.
We make a life by being positive
never taking the negative view.
We make a life by loving others
never letting hate dwell in our hearts.
We make a life filled with contentment
and long friendships too.
We make a life we love to live
as each day as it passes through.
