We Need To Change Poem by Dr John Celes

How people fight and fume
Over everything around!
How adults scream and shout
For everything they find!
Even brothers bear ill-wills
And start a family-feud;
Even sisters covet each other
On many things in life!

And neighbors do not maintain peace
Across the wall and line-of-control;
And nations suspect the next
And are wary of all things one does;
The world is more intolerant
And peace is an elusive star!

Has science to blame and scientists
Who put God in the background?
Has lack of faith and trust,
the cause of all turmoil?
Has man turned immoral and materialistic,
Bringing upon him this curse?
Have sense of values eroded
And dignity of life ignored?

Money has made life better;
But money has brought in ills as well;
Money works both good and bad things
Our experience does tell!

Change of heart and mind of man
For better is what we need;
Love of humanity and downtrodden
Should be the guiding light.

Let leaders think of the living God,
And God choose good souls to lead!
Let’s pray to God most fervently
That blessings rain on earth!
