We'Re Not Alright Poem by jess schwarcz

We'Re Not Alright

Rating: 5.0

That summer long ago
You tore me out of your life
You let me go.

We laughed, we loved
We ran until our imagination ran dry
We cared, we cried
And we shared each other’s pride

You were my inspirations
You sorted out my emotions
And you always said tomorrow would be alright
Would be alright
Would be alright

That summer long ago
You tore me out of your life
You let me go

We admitted that we admired
The strong ones ‘til our breaking day
But now you’re down, your distant
And I feel although I should go

Was it me, my past
Did I bring this unto you at last?
You always said tomorrow would be alright
But today is yesterdays tomorrow
And I’m not alright.
And you’re not alright
We’re not alright

I never thought this would be the end
I never thought I’d loose my best friend

That summer long ago
You tore me out of your life
You let me go
You let me go

Parting is such a hurting experience. But time heals and the brokenhearted will soon be alright.
